The young Liszt in braided Hungarian coat and velvet cap. Far away trees and bushes can be seen. At the bottom, in the left corner, a printed signature: "Kriehuber 840". At the bottom, on the right: "Gedr[uckt] bei Joh[ann] Höfelich." On the recto, under the picture there is a quotation from Byron in Liszt’s hand and his signature: "Heres a sigh to those who love me, / And a smile to those who hate, / And, whatever skys above me, / Heres a heart for every fate."
