A half-length portrait of Liszt in ovale format. He is turning to the left, and hiding his right hand under his suit. Down on the left side: "Rud. Hoffmann 1861" In the middle: "Druck von J. Haller." On the right side: "Nach einer photographie von Schenk in Jena." Under the picture is the copy of Liszts signature. Under it on the left side: "Verlag v. J. L. Schrag in Leipzig." In the middle: "Eigenthum v. G. A. Lenoir in Wien." On the right side: "Mit vorbehalt jeder Art Nachdruck." After the photograph taken by Schenk.
