Liszt is playing the piano in the Pest concert hall Vigadó (Redoute). The instrument is a Bösendorfer piano, standing on a carpet-covered podium and ornated with flowers. We can see the back of Liszt, the room is full with people, including the king and members of the Royal Court. Under the picture, printed is the following text: "Liszts Konzert in Pest. Originalzeichnung von Johann Janko (S. 414.)" On the right side, prnted across: "N. 21. Ueber Land und Meer. Allgemeine Illustrirte Zeitung. 401" Original drawing by János Jankó, based on a painting by Franz Schams and Ernst Lafite.
