Liszt is in military equipment. He has a huge sabre and a shield, on which are musical notes. He is sitting on a horse and we can see him in right profile. In the background are soldiers with a flag. Down on the left side: "A. J. Lorentz." On the left is is the name of the publisher but it is missing in parts: "…er & Cie R. du Croissant 16." In the middle is a printed mockery poem: "Entre tous les guerriers Litz [sic] est seul sans reproche / Car malgré son grand sabre, on sait que ce héros / Na vaincu que des double-croches / Et tué que des pianos." At the top in the middle: "MIROIR DROLATIQUE". At the top right side: "No. 2"
