Marie dAgoult is turning to the left. We can see her in profile. She is wearing a kerchief on her head. On her dress is a lace collar. The portrait is in an oval frame and around it is a decorative, patterned oblong background. Down on the left side: "Peint par H. Lehmann - Rome 1839." On the right side: "Dessiné et Gravé par Metzmacher, 1849". Under it on th eleft side: "PUBLIÉ par LARTISTE / Paris, 5 Quai Voltaire". In the middle: "GOUPIL, VILBERT et Cie 19, Boulevard Montmartre, / et a NEW-YORK, 289. Broadway." On the right side: "GAMBART & Co. / Londres, 23, Berners St. Oxford St." At the bottom of the Passe-Partout is a dedication written by hand: "Marie dAgoult / ? M. le Comte Ladislas Teleki / Paris 1. juillet 1850". After the work by Henri Lehmann.
