In the foreground is a box with spectators. In the background we can see the theatre. In the auditorium is a podium. Liszt is standing on it and is conducting. On the right side we can see the stage and a few artists. On the laft and right side a curtain is hanging. In the middle is a huge chandelier. Down in the middle is a label: "Das Musikfest im Stadttheater zu Aachen am 1. Juni." The picture was cut from a german newspaper. On the reverse is an article: "Die Musikfeste in Aachen und Mannheim."[1. of June in 1857.]
