On the right side is the palace. Before it on the square are carts, riders and a few passers-by. Under the picture on the left side: "L. Rohbock delt." Under the picture on the right side: "C. Rorich sculpt." Down in the middle: "H. ESZTERHÁZY PALOTÁJA KIS-MARTONBAN / PALAIS ESZTERHÁZY IN EISENSTADT" On the reverse, with pencil: "A Kismartoni Esterházy Kastély, ahol Liszt apja Haydn alatt muzsikált és fia a herceg előtt előjátszott. Dr. Mátéka Béla tulajdona" [Esterhazy Castle in Kismarton where Liszts father was a musician under Haydn and where his son played the piano before the prince. Béla Mátékas property]. Based on a work by Ludwig Rohbock.
