Double-sided medal. On the obverse: portrait of the old Liszt in left profile with the impression at his neck: “REMÉNYI”. Circular inscription: “NEMZETKÖZI LISZT FERENC ZONGORAVERSENY 1956” [International Liszt Piano Competition 1956]. On the reverse: a woman kneeling on one knee and looking to the left. She is wearing a veil-like dress that leaves her breast uncovered. Her hair is gathered up in a knot; she turns her head upwards. In her right hand she is holding a wreath, in her left a lute. Inscribed at the bottom: “BUDAPEST / 1956” Rim: smooth.
