In the upper part of the cross, in the middle, the coat-of-arms against black background. On both sides of the cross the dates: “1945-1956”. Inscribed on the reverse, in the middle: “A szabad Magyarországért” [For the freedom of Hungary]. On top of the cross a triangular ribbon with the national colours.
