The old Liszt is seen in left semi-profile. He wears cassock and coat, he lifts his left hand towards his face. Below the photograph, imprint: "Louis Held, Hof-Photograph, Weimar, Marienstrasse". This vintage-copy was made after an original photograph made by Le Lieure or his wife in Rome, September 1880 (Burger 2003, Nr. 141). On the backside of the photograph, a dedication and note in Russian language, dated 1935, can be read.
