In the right lower corner, autograph dedication of István Thomán István to Aurél Kern: "Kedves barátjának / Kern Aurélnak, / emlékezésül a nagy mesterre / és ennek kis tanítványára/ Thomán Istvánra / Budapest, 1914. III. 20."
